Thought I would take us back to the year 1952, where Ovaltine, sexy cars, and eating hamburgers were popular.
I saw that one of my friends(from a while back…) was conducting a panel on the Knights Templar at Dragon Con this year. Elonka is also involved in the Kryptos project, which you may find more information here. I was re-reading solution two when it dawned on me.

THEY SHOULD ITS BURIED OUT THERE SOMEWHERE X WHO KNOWS THE EXACT LOCATION ? I believe solution two is referring to a nuclear bomb (suitcase or otherwise). I just had to put it out there.

Season greetings to all!
I now find myself in the month of December with no novel to speak of. My personal life has been filled with many surprises. For one, I am engaged. More on that, here. Secondly, the novel itself has evolved from science fiction to that of science fiction AND fantasy. Building up the story around my main character has been the easy part, but constructing the villian, his motive, and those around him has proven to be most daunting.
What we know of aliens today is clouded in myth, denial, and speculation. Since the summer, I have interviewed and talked to many people who are connected to the UFO phenomena. With exception to one individual, all have been in this mode of survival. It is extremely difficult to extract any form of truth from people who are so desperate to prove that they are not crazy. I have also learned that most speculation and conjecture originate from writers who aren’t even connected to the events themselves. They are writers who care very little about the lives they ruin and the lies they tell in order to sell copies. And for twenty years or so, these profiteers have managed to manipulate the question of “are we alone?” to that of “why should we even care”. Could these naysayers be apart of a grand government scheme to deny, deny, deny? One will never know. But I went to Roswell, as most have not. I talked to people directly involved, and I have to say that I left with more questions than answers. Not from what had already been written about, but from what hasn’t.
So my story has changed as I felt it important not to pile on top of the speculation and conjecture that has ruined the field in it’s entirely. I could go another way with all this, but perhaps that will be for another time and place. For now, I am happy of where everything is going and hope that you will as well.
